There’s nothing like canoeing on the Route du Sel for water-based excursions near Le Clos du Bourg campsite. These tours will give you an even greater appreciation of Sallertaine and its marshes. For an enjoyable 1-2 hour trip, discover the Breton marshes of Vendée along a signposted route. For the more adventurous, take a longer plunge into this bewitching wilderness. As you explore the marshes, you’ll see sites such as the Abbaye de l’Île Chauvet, the Moulin de Rairé and other sallertaines sights. For a fun-filled day, we also offer sunrise and sunset canoe trips, as well as picnic canoes.
